her warmth has abandoned my heart again
left holding my desolation
i gaze into the heavens
darkness steals the day
and delivers a mist of anguish
while an amethyst moon
cries down on the city
despair rains down
on my soul

searching for a reason to breathe
finding an excuse to endure

in time all this pain
may disappear
this life can only improve
from here

i really hate that there are all these things that i meant to read... but never really got around to it. things just keep pilin up you know. but here i am, better late than never. :heart:


this is a great piece. really honest and true to the reader. and i just adore the images you allow the reader to enjoy. this poem just roles off the tongue of the reader into their hearts. we can all relate.

i love it.
